Ceria-based structures identified as promising with respect to their thermodynamic, chemical, thermal transport and mechanical characteristics will be incorporated in a prototype two-step solar thermochemical reactor developed in our laboratory. The reactor implements solid and gas phase heat recovery to achieve unprecendented solar-to-fuel efficiencies.
